On Thursday, April 2nd, we had our own Easter fun! We had an egg hunt with a little twist... There were plastic eggs hidden all over the classroom with slips of paper inside. We had to find an egg, open it, read the word written on the paper, write the word on our recording sheet, put the paper back inside the egg, and put the egg back before finding the next egg. We had a blast finding the hidden eggs and reading all the popcorn words and our classmate's names that were hidden inside the eggs!
On Wednesday, April 22nd, we celebrated Earth Day. In preparation for this day, we began talking about "garbage" and where it goes after we throw things away in the trash can. We learned that we can help reduce the amount of trash that goes to a landfill by recycling and reusing things. The kids then worked with their families to create a unique "Junk Critter" made from trash they had at home. Check out all of the awesome critters that came to school with the kids!!
