Rensselaer Central Elementary Schools have always pledged to create a safe and stimulating environment for all learners. In an effort to continue to improve our school climate, our staff has worked together to implement a framework called "Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports", or PBIS. This framework is based on our three core expectations of:
** Students need to be responsible for their choices in every situation. Exceptional responsibility and behavior are rewarded in various ways!**
- Be Kind
- Be Safe
- Be a Learner
- Purple = ROYALTY STATUS, student is exhibiting exceptional behavior
- Green = GREAT DAY, student is performing as expected (starting place each day)
- Yellow = WARNING, behavior needs to be corrected immediately
- Orange = COOL IT, student will serve a time out and think about their choices
- Red = LOSS OF PRIVILEGE, student loses recess or special activity
- Blue = OFFICE REFERRAL, student will visit the office and parents will be contacted by an administrator
